Opening hours: Mondays, Wednesdays 9.30-12.00 & Thursdays 9.30-3.30 which includes Lunch Club
We welcome applications for children from 2 1/2 years old, upwards.

Doddiscombsleigh Pre-School was founded in September 1990 and attracts children from the Teign Valley, and beyond. In 2005 we received Accreditation from the Pre-School Learning Alliance. This kite mark recognises the excellent standards of education and care provided by our setting, which we continue to uphold - as evident from our latest Ofsted inspection report.
We pride ourselves on our â'family' atmosphere, and provide a safe, happy, caring environment where each child is valued as an individual and sensitively supported in his/her development. We also aim to prepare the children for an easy transition into full-time education under the professional guidance of our Leader. We have a dedicated facility within Doddiscombsleigh Community Primary and close working relationships with the school teachers. Term dates are in line with the school.
A voluntary committee of Pre-School parents and Governors from Doddiscombsleigh Primary School manage the setting.
These are statements taken from the Ofsted inspection report which was carried out on the 8th October 2008:
'Doddiscombsleigh Pre-School offers outstanding provision. Highly trained staff offer an exemplary and professional environment with excellent welfare and care procedures and learning and development opportunities.'
'Leadership and management are outstanding. Staff are experienced, exceptionally well organised and very effective Early Years practitioners and share their practice and skills daily. Children are highly motivated and staff have high expectations of them. They are taught to care for one another and to be polite, making a positive contribution to the setting.'
We have now completed our enclosed decking play area which has expanded the classroom outside and allows integration with Reception children.
