Class One build lego zip wires

After learning about the inventor of lego, Ole Kirk Christiansen, the children were challenged to build a lego zip wire.  This led to lots of discussion about the difference the angle of the slope made, gravity, and forces.  For example if the angle of the slope were too great, gravity pulled it down fast and because there was no breaking or friction to slow him down the force with which he reached the end of the zip wire meant he broke into pieces!  The children showed great determination and resilience during this activity as well as being very proud when their zip wires were successful.
