Potato Harvest, June 2017

Each year, we enter the Grow Your Own Potatoes competition, where each class tries to grow the heaviest crop of potatoes.  This year was, unfortunately,  no competition at all!.  The potato bags of Class 1 and 2, which were kept in a shady area by the school gate, produced very few potatoes, with hardly any big ones at all.  The potato bags of Class 3 were kept outside the back door of their classroom and they seemed to fare much better, producing far more potatoes of a bigger size.  The end results were:  Class 1 – 500g, Class 2 – 200g and Class 3 – 2,400g.  Well done to Class 3 who have won this year’s competition!
