School Council Assembly, September 2017

The School Council fed back to the school during an assembly about their first meeting.  They spoke about the playground charter and showed the pictures that had been painted to help the younger children understand what they could do to help everyone enjoy their rights when out at play.  The Council members also talked about the Friendship Bench and how it should be used.  They showed the pupils the ‘banner’ that had been made to publicise the bench which is now outside Class 2 in the playground.  Finally, they talked about two upcoming events: the harvest assembly and Children in Need day.  The Council want the latter event to be lots of fun and have planned to have a crazy clothes day and a disco during the afternoon if a DJ can be found!  Money will be raised through donations given at the disco and this will be given to the official charity to help children throughout the country receive their rights.
