Kung hei fat choi - Class 1 celebrate the Chinese New Year

Class 1 have been having a fabulous time learning about the Chinese New Year.  This year is the year of the Snake so the children set about decorating the classroom with snakes.  The children took part in a range of activities but they particularly enjoyed dressing up in traditional costumes, cooked and tasted some scrumptious Chinese food and with the help of a parent even learnt how to write in Chinese!

Pancake Day at Doddi, Feb 2013

This year's Pancake Day began with a delicious pancake breakfast organised by the wonderful Doddi Friends.  Some children enjoyed the pancakes so much, they ate six of them each!  We then held pancake races in the playground for everyone in the school community; children from Pre-School, Class 1, 2 and 3, and parents and staff.  These were enjoyed by one and all!

Safer Internet Day Assembly, Februry 2013

Mrs. Evans took a Safer Internet Day assembly to help the pupils keep themselves safe when they use the internet.  Some of the things she talked about were being polite and respectful to others when online and to make sure that the children gave no personal details to others.  She will be working with the children to write some top tips for staying safe online.

Football Festival, Year 5 and 6, January 2013

Our Year 5 and 6 pupils went to Teign Academy for a football festival and were very lucky to find themselves the only primary pupils there!  It meant that they were able to do every single skills activity without waiting and complete challenges against the Year 10 pupils.
