Doddiscombsleigh Pre-School is a community-run, not-for-profit pre-school with charitable status. We are a member of the Pre-School Learning Alliance, registered with the Charity Commission and are regulated by Ofsted. Founded in 1992 by local parents and the school, the management of the pre-school is now the responsibility of an elected committee comprising of parents, carers, community members and school staff who volunteer their time, experience and resources.
The Pre-School is located in a stunning rural setting on the edge of Dartmoor and just 7 miles from Exeter in the heart of the village of Doddiscombsleigh. Our 3 highly experienced staff are fully qualified early years practitioners. Our small pre-school size has an excellent staff to child ratio, each of our staff has time to nurture each child and their family as individuals. We have strong links with Doddiscombsleigh Primary School, aiding a smooth transition into Reception Class; although we welcome applications from all children from the community regardless of future school plans.

She has an NVQ in Early years and has been working hard over the past 2 years at studying towards her level 3 early years practioner qualification.
Mrs Renata Antwi
Renata started work with us in 2018 and works one to one with any of our children with additional educational needs. She has a level 3 early years practitioner qualification. Renata brings calm, warmth and years of experience to our team.
Vanessa is a former parent of a child at Doddi pre-school. As they say it takes a village to raise a child and we feel very lucky to have had the opportunity to have our child grow up here and come to Doddi pre-school and primary school. It is a wonderful place to be a child.
